POWER PRINCIPLE – CHAPTER TEN
POWER PRINCIPLE FOUR:
THE ANOINTING OF POWER
Everyone has a measure of anointing received from God as God’s children. It is indwelling and teaches all things. The anointing is truth and whatever is taught by the anointing is not fake. The anointing is a divine unction from God. God has already equipped us with oil that will help to flow supernaturally in the service. Anointing make sacred. In the Old Testament, Priest, Prophets and kings were anointed and set aside for divine function.
Jesus was anointed for a special order and it was the fulfillment of prophecy. Jesus was anointed and was called Jesus Christ which means the “Anointed one”.
God is the original source of anointing and the power in the anointing flows from God. God anointed men in life and ministry for the purpose of fruitful service, responsibility, instruction, abiding, liberty and joy. Anointing is for all believers.
God anointed people for specific ministries and without the anointing, problems emerge.
God is the giver of ministry and the anointing to prosper the work. The urge and urgency into ministry without God’s call and sanction is disastrous, in order to receive the anointing the source should be recognized, be born again, study and pray, break yoke, receive the Holy Spirit, don’t rely on your abilities and discover your special anointing.

POWER PRINCIPLE FOUR
I quite appreciate this course on the basis of this topic; most times people get deceived because of the lack of knowledge.
I have known that the power is not in the oil but the power flows from God who is the source.
I discovered that good numbers of people has gone into the ministerial work without God’s approval and that is the more reason they cannot excel in the ministry.
Another area is the imitation in ministry because there is no divine connection, with imitation, there will be no result compared to a man with genuine call.
I need more, an increase of the anointing for service; I will be yielded to my spiritual responsibility and give in being teachable by the anointing.
My aim is to constantly abide in God and keep on breaking yokes from people’s lives.
It is my duty to teach my congregation and make them to know that it is their portion and it cannot be bought with money.
I will help them to discover their various areas of call and ministry for effective service.
POWER PRINCIPLE FIVE POWER, FAITH AND WORKS
REFLECTION CHAPTER ELEVEN
Power must be operated in faith to yield result. Our response to God’s word is of vital importance. Most of the failure we encounter is as a result of lack of faith in the word of God. God is the word and when we believe what the word of God says, God respond to His word.
Faith simply means believing and having assurance of evidence (something to show). Faith helps to bring into being what has not been real.
The course outlined types of faith which are saving faith, sanctifying faith, defensive faith. The gift of faith and the fruit of faith.
Faith here, have been categorized into three levels. The faithless level (Mathew 17:7), the little faith (Mathew 6:30, 8:26, 14:31) and the great faith (Mathew 8:10, 15:28). Based on this, individual has particular measure of faith given to him as a gift from God.
Faith tends to yield increase by hearing the word of God. But saving faith is paramount to spiritual power. As you increase in faith and live continuously in righteous, you will be more spiritually empowered by God. Faith pleases God and righteousness or holiness is God’s nature. Compromise with sin results to spiritual death or powerlessness. When faith increases it will be easier to live a holy life and strongly defend against the enemies’ attacks. Faith help in power operation and for faith and power to be effective, they must be demonstrated by works. (James 2:14, 17-18, 26) faith produces power to work. At absence of faith, nothing to talk about.
RESPONSE TO POWER, FAITH AND WORKS
CHAPTER ELEVEN
My greatest joy now is been able to know the levels of faith and how increase my faith.
I have been able to recognize that faith produces power and power produces works.
I have equally known about the types of faith.
Notably, the relationship between, faith, power and works have been noted.
I will be contending for greater faith because I want to explode into fruitfulness.
Faith will produce works through me as a vessel of God. The power God dwells in me by faith.
I will do extract from this teaching and teach my people. “The levels of faith”. I want them to grow. It is important to know one’s measure of faith and ask for increase.
My desire is that God should do it through me again in my generation. I want to be linked with god’s power.
POWER PRINCIPLES SIX:
POWER IN THE NAME OF JESUS
CHAPTER TWELVE-REFLECTION
The first thing God did for Jesus in this verse was to exalt him, second, was giving Him a name above every name.
Jesus was put in place of Honor by God because He honored God and God gave Him in honor a name that heads and leads in authority and has dominion over names. The name Jesus is powerful dreadful and authoritative. (Philippians 29:11). Names have reflected destinies and today, the same is in experience, since names are relevant in meanings, there are ways people obtain names.
By birth, by achievement and by conferring. Even Jesus got His names through the stated ways. The name of Jesus won the Highest honored and it is the most powerful name in the universe.
Jesus gave us His name because He trusted and want us to domineer through it. He left into our possession His power (name).
The name gives salvation, sanctifies and an answer in prayer. The power in the name works with abiding ill righteousness.
The name is equally effective in deliverance, ministry in the Holy Spirit and Healing, protection and in everything.
RESPONSE TO CHAPTER TWELVE
The name of Jesus has been of immense help to me in ministry. Prayer of diverse kinds was answered.
In my ministry, the power in the name of Jesus raise the dead on three occasions, the sick’s were healed, the barren conceived, the oppressed and the demonic possessed were set free.
In short, the name was a source of confidence and trust I have towards God and I believe that I am always closer to my needs. The name is amazing in results.
I have placed value on that name “Jesus” I will continue to use this name and always develop my faith in it.
I will equally teach others the importance of it.
POWER PRINCIPLE-REFLECTION ON CHAPTER THIRTEEN
POWER PRINCIPLE SEVEN:
THE POWER OF PRAYER
In James 5:16-6, three key words are important to prevailing in prayer.
1. Effectual
2. Fervent
3. Righteous
Effectual:- Able to produce the desired effect.
Fervent:- Passionate, Zealous
Righteous:- Moral, Virtuous
This means prayer has to do with effectual and fervency.
Prayer is talking with God or rendering your heart felt petitions to God. In prayers, there are two basic principles that release God’s power, these are fasting and prayer. In the sense of prayer, there are three levels of prayer which are, asking, seeking and knocking.
Prayer necessitates asking before receiving, prayer is of types which involves worship and praise, commitment, petition, confession, repentance and intercession. Prayers have formalities such as model, pray. How to pray, what to pray for praying with promises, when to pray. There are some hindrances to prayer which are, sin, idol in heart, unforgiving spirit selfishness and power hungry, wrong treatment of marriage partner, self righteousness, unbelief, lack of compassion, not abiding in Christ, hypocrisy pride and many of such. There are types of fasting; these are public and private fasting. There must be a defined purpose for fasting and the duration depends on the ministration of the Holy Spirit.
RESPONSE TO CHAPTER THIRTEEN
I have understood that fasting and prayer are the two principles that release God power in the believer. And I must give attention to them in order to be effective I have been able to know some of the hindrance to prayer which has been overlooked and are great hindrances to prayer. I have choose not to allow them in order for me to be effective and fervent, deserving my rewards.
I have noticed that asking necessitates receiving; I will be asking to receive. And as God equally ask for co-operation in the service, I will comply without detestation.
Finally I will commit this knowledge to my audience and emphasis on the importance.
POWER PRINCIPLE FOURTEEN
POWER PRINCIPLE EIGHT
THE POWER OF THE WORD
The source of the word is God himself (Heb 4:12). No man can be blessed by God without encountering the power of his word. The word of God is God Himself. God honor His word than his name. The word contains structures both physical and spiritual (Heb 11:3). The world was out of the word in manifestation.
The word comprises the “rhema and the Logos” Logos refers to the total utterance of God, a complete revelation of what God said. While rhema is the specific saying from God that applies an answer. The temptation of Jesus was to increase Jesus under pressure. Satan tempted Jesus to trap him into using His power for personal benefits. Inspire the several temptations; Jesus overcame him (Satan) by the power of God.
One should constantly use the word of God making it effective. The word must be applied to all situations of life to yield proven results.
There is power in the word of God.
God is the power behind His word, He honor His word to perform it with intensive clearance.
The word of God is powerful and profitable to the world. This gospel (the word) must be preached.
RESPONSE TO CHAPTER FOURTEEN
I have discovered that the word of God is powerful, God honor his word, and the God is the power behind his word. It is my duty or responsibility to preach the word of God to the world because I believe they need it for a great spiritual power and God gives much honor to the word than His name. I have to give honor to the word of Lord.
Since the word of God is powerful, I have to speak it always. I will be confessing it because it gives salvation to the soul.
My tongue carries the power of life and death and I must be careful of what I say, words are implicative. I shall be mindful of the usage of words.
I have promised to speak the word and pass across the basic information concerning the word to others.
POWER PRINCIPLE –CHAPTER FIFTEEN
POWER PRINCIPLE NINE POWER OF AUTHORITY
Authority is the power or right to command. The authorized, is the man given a command. Authorize is to empower. Authoritative is commanding or possessing authority.
One must be under authority to exercise authority because it has to do with delegation. Jesus was a man of authority because He was sent by God under the authority of God head. Jesus became a man of authority by sending us. For the church to function well, God has established structures of authority and made believers leadership of them. In the church the church workers are under the authority of the leader. Equally in the home the husband is the head. Jesus is the head of the church. He distributed gifts to the body of Christ for responsibility and these bring each other to submit to one another. Government authorities must be obeyed. God is the source of power and He set authorities in place to be obeyed and not rebel against his authorities. Rebellion against is equally against God the source. God sets up government leadership. Both in natural and the spiritual world, God is the source.
RESPONSE TO CHAPTER FIFTEEN
I learnt in this course in chapter two that God is the source of power. And in this chapter I have been made to know that God is the source of power. He has set up authorities in the church, home and in the Government of the nations where we are. And that, authorities has to be obeyed because God set them up.
I equally learnt that you must be under authorities to be authoritative. Whoever wants to exercise this authority must be under an authority. I have understood and I will teach others that God set up authorities to be obeyed and rebelling against them is against God. I will obey authority.
POWER PRINCIPLE TEN
THE POWER OF HIS RESURRECTION
CHAPTER SIXTEEN
Resurrection is the rising from the dead, coming out alive. The resurrection of Jesus is the solid ground of our faith, if not what is the centre of our believe? The resurrections give us the salvation and bind us to justification by faith. The demonstration and the stand of the resurrection mean death has been conquered. The resurrection declared an open show of death’s defeat. It equally proof Jesus more supreme than all created beings. And it declared Jesus as the son of God.
Another important issue is the future resurrection of the believers and the unbelievers. The believers will resurrect to life while the unbeliever s will resurrect to judgment and condemnation.
The present working power of the resurrection of Jesus gives hope and life to men.
It makes Jesus the only giver of life and gives new life purpose. It gives a new quickening. Jesus is the resurrection and the source of it.
RESPONSE TO CHAPTER SIXTEEN
The resurrection of Jesus as I have known from this course is the confidence of our faith and much more answer of the hope and the life we have as believers. The most precious in my sight and the courage in my mind is the resurrection of the believers. But when I think about the hope of the unjust, it drives me to heaviness of the heart and equally gives me hope of their salvation because He that was dead is alive forever more to intercede and empowering me to seek for the lost. My drive is to make sure I win them now that there is hope.
If they perish, they perish partly because I have not played my part.
The Lord will help me to abide and in abiding I will not fold my hands but I will keep on winning souls and encouraging the believers as I am in Him and be equally vigilant to the end
POWER PRINCIPLES ELEVEN:
CHAPTER SEVENTEEN THE POWER OF SUFFERING
Suffering has to do with pain and distress, to undergo to endure to experience.
The Bible made this statement clear that God is responsible in the creation of all things (Eph. 39, Colossians 1:6, Rev. 4:11). But here it is said that “God did not create suffering”. This is contradicting the scriptures.
It is certain that some factors could contribute to suffering such as circumstance of life, the ministry, direct satanic activity and one’s sin.
Even then, there are proper approaches towards suffering. This should be positive attitude, knowing that it shall be over.
Power through suffering: God turns bad to good, turns losses to wins, He teaches us to trust not our selves, He manifest the works of God, to perfect the power of God, to remove that which is unstable to change our focus, to change the old self, to prepare the ministry, to prepare us to reign with Christ, to give spiritual blessing, to teach obedience, to rest the word of God within, to humble us, to enlarge us spiritually, to know God intimately. In suffering God is with us.
RESPONSE TO CHAPTER SEVENTEEN
It is noted that suffering is part of the believer’s life for special reasons discussed in this chapter. Most at times, it is good to know reasons why some things happen in order to help us know the importance. I have understood that suffering is necessary but it doesn’t come in without being created. If not created then, who is the source?
I equally understood that one is not alone in suffering; God is always present and has the ways out of it.
I will endeavor to teach and really be watching myself each time is passing through suffering in order to know God’s dealings in my life and ministry.
HOW TO EXPERINECE THE POWER OF GOD
CHAPTER EIGHTEEN
Jesus is the source of super flow, He is the real wine which we are connected and without being connected, we are detached and helpless. He is source spiritual power.
To experience power flow, there must be an endowments from on High.
To be endowed, fasting and prayer is necessary, you must receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, you must exercise faith, you must apply Biblical Power Principles.
The church should be a place of prayer and not for irrelevant activities. The church should fill with people with deeper needs.
The church should be filled with believers who have spiritual power. When it is like this God will manifest his power and miracles will be taking place.
Spiritual power is given to serve the church for the increase, there should be a continual use for more infilling and increase within. Use it or you loose it.
RESPONSE TO CHAPTER EIGHTEEN
Thank God I am filled with the Holy Ghost and power. There is an earnest expectation in me for higher level of manifestation to meet up with the insane, the blinds, the lames, the deaf and dumb. In short, powerful encounter that will make men to focus on Christ is going to manifest.
I will be always available for the master’s use at anytime. I want to quench flames of sorrow in men, I am next available.
My generation will rejoice.
POWER PRINCIPLES
POWER FAILURE
CHAPTER NINETEEN
Power failure causes spiritual progress to be unmovable. There will be problems in the body of Christ, when there is power failure.
The number of sick people will increase, there will be no salvation, demons will refuse to go and the people will be experiencing terrible afflictions.
Spiritual power failure in (Acts 1913-16). Their efforts were abortive. They encountered terrible attack from the demonized.
Heaven will know you when your sins are forgiven. (Rev 21:27). Demons will recognize your authority after you are born again. Your name will be known in hell.
Power failure results from sin, bondages, violation of power principles, reigning instead of serving, personal profit, emulations, wrong motives, unbelief, limiting God.
When there is no miracle, still believe God, continue working and keep on giving Him thanks.
RESPONSE TO CHAPTER NINETEEN
I have recognized that there is bound to be spiritual power failure due to some reasons that may prompt this. In this case, I have to reconcile the issues at stake in order to be awake again.
I am glad for knowing some of the reason for power failure. I will adhere to this restoration and equally make others to know more about it. I will make them to know the importance.
Nothing stop me, no hold bare. I am mandated to revive this generation, for this reason, no quenching and blinking. It’s going to be raw in action and nothing of the contrary shall be entertained.
God is waiting for me.
CHAPTER TWENTY
FACING THE OPPOSITION
Opposition rather makes one to be strong and more convinced to do what intended most. Opposition comes through the circumstances of life, but Satan is normally behind it. It could come from people around but equally used by Satan. Satan operates against our spiritual authority.
Why the challenge is that unbelief comes in, popular opinion, tradition, credentials, doctrine, manner of teaching, spiritual error, misuse, your life walk.
To be able to cope with the challenge; the source must be recognized. Don’t spend time in debating, face the opposition and take authority.
We have authority that is greater than other authority.
RESPONSE TO CHAPTER TWENTY
I am not afraid of apposition as I have leant because I have been backed up already by equipping myself with the greatest authority over the source of these oppositions.
I am not moved because I have for long settled it with God to comfort every odd. My joy is that I am regenerated and empowered. He is with me and I fear nothing that man can do. In the face of opposition, they must submit to Jesus.
I appreciate what God has made me to know in the course and I pray to keep and work with them.
I equally thank my facilitator for being patient with me and putting the course in perspective for me. |
