CHAPTER TWO
A. V. INSTRUCTIONALS-REFLECTION
SYSTEMATIC APPROACHES TO THE TEACHING

LEARNING SKILLS:
Learning skills involves the basic tools required for learning and the economical and practical steps to achieve them. Any child prone to own the ability of problem solving should practice problem solving. They must identify with the followings. They must recognize the problems. They must have the chance and resources to be acquainted with similar experiences connecting to problem solutions. The ability to solve problem is a skill that must be learned.

Students must first appreciate before progressing through.

Responsibility is attached to the student to help them develop an awareness of the results of his commitment.

Relatively, there are three types of learning process that generalizes goals of education. This helps to differentiate among three types of instructional objectives which are
a. Knowledge and information
b. Attitudes and appreciations
c. Skills and performances.

Educational objectives give direction to the learning process and determine the manner of evidence to be used.

To achieve this educational objective, teachers and students have to partake in the activities. Teachers are to involve their students since learning occurs through the process of acting on what has been taught, this is done by reaching, reciting and listening. They should be involved, in writing reports, answering questions, experimenting and developing interpretations.

At the developmental stage, students are allowed to study the portion of the topic chosen and effectively work towards its solution.

A. N. INSTRUCTIONALS RESPONSE
CHAPTER TWO

I have understood that learning requires some basic tools. These tools help students to learn skills. I have learnt that children should be taught skills example, the ability to solve problems, music and others.

I have learnt about types of instructionals to be used in achieving these objectives.

In the process of learning teachers and students partakes in the activities in order to achieve the objectives.

Student as I have leant should be involved in every process of doing, to recite, read or listen.

I have leant that teacher’s selects basic instructional media to meet specific instructional needs, without the systematic approach to teaching will be only imperfectly applied.

CHAPTER THREE
LEARNING RESOURCES AND FACILITIES

Patterns of organization for educational media services have brought about new emphasis on establishing multimedia instructional material centre in individual schools.

The centre is backed up by those concern and even national agencies with teacher’s need to become familiar.

Direct assistance was given by the single school educational media centre with its properly professional personnel to both teachers and students and gives information concerning other available collections that may be used to which the resources at hand.

Regional units many of which have been established through federal appropriations to education provide a variety of essential service like film loans tape duplication, production of visuals and the improvement of utilization pattern through in-service training.

The selection of instructional materials developing other list for purchase is a key responsibility of nearly every teacher. To engaged knowledgably in this process, he must know about materials sources such as those described in this chapter.

He must also have wide first hand acquaintance with materials related to his own teaching field and must be skilled in applying functional criteria to items he is ask to examine.

RESPONSE TO CHAPTER THREE

I have learnt that instructional tools were provided for adequate educational advancement by certain groups. That those concerned provided teachers needs.

I have learnt that concern be given to educational set ups to provide the basic instructional tools for learning. This will enable the students and teachers to do well. I discovered that teachers were trained to be able to use these instructional media creatively and meeting up with their objectives.

I will on personal basics begin to get some of these instructional for teaching and trains people for effective teaching of others.

Besides, I will learn of how to use them.

Lastly more centre were opened for students and teachers for instructional training.

A. V. INSTRUCTIONALS CHAPTER FOUR
PRINTED TEXT AND REFERENCE MATERIALS

The use of technology to the processes of producing, organizing, mediating, distributing storing and retrieving and using knowledge has resulted to increasingly fruitful contacts among educators, the traditionally recognized producers and vendors of knowledge. This contacts has interested publishers rather than in books alone.

Technology has helped in a greater dimension where students and teachers realize the great potentials of education.

The usage of books only hampered full development of audio visuals. This tradition has remained supreme.

“Printed text” reference materials, workbooks, supplementary books, encyclopedias, newspapers comics and microforms continue to provide a significant base for teaching and learning, the teacher must know the professional standards to the selection of text books and other printed materials. The teacher should be able to regard printing material as assistance for achieving his goals of learning. He should try and make presentations come alive.

RESPONSE TO CHAPTER FOUR

I have discovered that technology has so influenced classes of people into using instructional media in all set ups both in individual homes and offices.

I have discovered that technology has improved to an extent where everything regarding skills is no longer learnt in books alone.

Audiovisuals and other teaching media should be arranged for effective teaching rather than still lingering on old technology.

Printed materials (text) should be made available. As a teacher I should be able to select text books that will help to achieve the objectives.

I will follow the basic teaching technique in order to achieve this goal.

A. V. INSTRUCTIONALS CHAPTER FIVE
TRANSPARENCIES FOR OVERHEAD PROJECTION

Overhead projection has several advantages for class room instruction in these ways:-

1. The projector is simple to operate
2. It used in the front of the room by the instructor
3. Facing his class and observing student reactions.
4. It can be as large as necessary fro the audience to see
5. The stage of the projector is large
6. It makes it easy for teacher and students to create their own materials for use in the overhead projector.

There are certain features to be kept in mind when planning transparencies. These are:-

1. Shows pictures and diagram through a pointer on the transparencies to direct attention to a detail.
2. Use a felt pen pencil to add details on the transparency during projection
3. Use thee progressive disclosure technique
4. Superimpose additional transparency sheets
5. Show three dimensional objects from the stage of the projector
6. More overlays back and front across

The evaluation of six commercially produced transparencies
1. Whether treatment is opposed to a poster, chart film
2. It’s accuracy and up-datedness
3. Does it make good us of transparency technique?
4. It is technically satisfactory.
5. Does it encourage your subject and grade level

RESPONSE TO CHAPTER FIVE

I have learnt how to use an overhead projector and its advantages in the classroom. I have made up my mind to get one for use.

I have equally learnt about the features to be kept in mind when planning transparencies.

I have studied and known how to evaluate produced transparencies.

I have equally learnt ways of using transparencies in the classroom.

My earnest prayer is to see where these instructional can be available so that I can equally experience some practical aspects. Through, I have some which I had not known the values but now I can use my few instructional. I hope to teach my audience and make these instructional useful based on their relevant.
