GBIS DOCTORAL PROGRAM |
 |
INTRODUCTION
GRACE BIBLE INSTITUTE & SEMINARY
DOCTORAL PROGRAM
INTRODUCTION
The GBIS Doctoral program is a follow up of the Masters program that has been running for the past 7 years.
ACCREDITATION/AFFILIATION
We believe in accreditation and affiliation provided such do not compromise standards. It must be understood that our calling is to give ministerial training to men and women called into ministry. We are not preparing people for the secular but for the work of the ministry; hence all our degrees are church-based for church-work.
Since affiliation and accreditation does not guarantee standard, it is our responsibility therefore to be committed to, and ensure that the best standard is given to our students. Our entry qualification is what obtains in other secular tertiary institutions all over the world.
Our graduates are already ministering in and outside the shores of this Country and this is what confirms our educational standard. For further information, you can call for a copy of our educational philosophy at the office of the Head of Administration.
Grace Bible Institute & Seminary is not affiliated to any secular institution of higher learning nor is it accredited by any accrediting agency. But our curriculum is tailored from the American Association of Bible Colleges (AABC) and the Association of Theological Schools and Seminary (ATS). While we also contextualize it based on the need in our continent.
We are affiliated to Harvest-time Bible Institute in the USA, and International Victory Bible Institute also in the USA. Both schools authorises the use of their academic materials for our programs.
The two institutions have reputation and standard among the independent seminaries in the United States. We agree to their basic doctrines and educational philosophy which is in line with what we uphold, hence such a working relationship.
We hold a very high academic and spiritual standard for our students with full awareness that we are preparing them to compare with their counterparts in other disciplines of life.
Our programs are broad covering social sciences and narrowing down to the ministerial preparation.

The Universal Tri-Directional Axiom - DR. DAN BRIGGS, UCMA (AUTHOR); Rev. Dr.(Mrs)Margaret Ikpatt, GBIS - Resource Person
PREFACE
In a time when the ecclesiastical world is focused on having mega churches, huge auditoriums, lavish edifices and cleric stars it seems to be high time that someone turned to God’s word for guidance and direction on this subject. If the Apostolic Pentecostal movement intends to truly evangelize the world rather than strive to “be like other denominations”, then they must return to the scriptures for divine answers and comply with the truths found therein.
The world is in chaos and is looking for answers. Humanism is not producing. Communism and socialism have proven fruitless. And once again, leaders have failed to consider history--glancing at the past to discover ideas that successfully answered similar dilemmas of human suffering, equality, happiness, world evangelism, etc.
This book will attempt to revisit the history of humanity’s existence and the universe from a broad overview to catch a glimpse of some meaning and purpose, some continuum on which to anchor, from which to glean universal harmony and balance—an eternal spiritual and physical homeostasis for every element of existence—as well as explore the biblical road map for world evangelism for this generation. This is not a new consideration, but it is a needful, timely and critical one. Many have visited this question and have found valuable insight. They have shared their discoveries, yet they were grasped by so few or were only embraced for too short of a time. For example, the great revivals of Europe, America and around the globe were brief and are all but forgotten and certainly fell short of true global evangelism.
INTRODUCTION
While the eschatological epistemological musings of Kant, et.al., may synaptically titillate some, they are not usually very pragmatic for those people who usually and actually get things done. This book is not intended to join the “lofty ranks” of dust gathering books sitting on little visited book shelves. That place is for those philosophers who are eager to create more spin-off, philosophical critique, who themselves also tend to get little done.
This book, however, does aspire to become a useful global evangelism tool—a guide that will, hopefully, stimulate a global paradigm shift. This book also provides a broader view speaking to the WHY, HOW and WHEN questions, which this author believes is essential if a reader is going to truly grasp the need and reality of global evangelism.

Covenant Epistemology - Dr. Dan Briggs, UCMA(Author);Rev. Dr. Godwin Okafor, GBIS - Resource Person
PREFACE
This book will lay essential fundamental salvific building blocks that have been missing from the minds of far too many Christians. Christianity is comprised of both thought and experience and one without the other dissolves Christianity into unstableness and shifting sands, void of elevated spiritual reality.
"...we walk by faith, not by sight".
2 Corinthians 5:7
"So then faith cometh by hearing (akoe), and hearing (akoe) by the word of YHVH."
Romans 10:17
The Greek word akoe means to "give audience to"; "to understand".
"But without faith it is impossible to please him..."
Hebrews 11:6
Faith requires both cognition (thought) and the senses. Sight is only a sense and can be misleading. YHVH's truths are spiritual and require faith that, yes, affect the physical, but are not understood by the senses. Only the mind can comprehend. The senses merely convey information to be assimilated and synthesized by the brain, the seat of the human spirit and origins of faith. And without faith, it is impossible to please YHVH. Thus, the only scriptural way to increase faith is to "hear" (akoe) the word of YHVH.
Hearing the word of YHVH requires self-discipline since it helps a person maintain an attention span long enough to “hear”. Once the information is assessed, it can be added to the knowledge and enlightenment base, which increases one's faith. This knowledge and enlightenment base is not just information, but specific spiritual information found within the scriptures.
This book will provide essential information critical to the establishment of strong faith in the hearts and minds of believers. It will also aid you to better grasp subsequent teachings. The reader will discover WHO they are and WHY they are who they are in the current context of human history. The reader will be introduced to WHY they think and believe the way they do and so on.
DISCLOSURE
Theology is popularly known as the science or the study of God (Theos - transliteration) and of the relations between God, man and the universe. However, the word Theos and Theology come from Greek influences (Hellenism) since the word Theos is a Greek prefix to each Greek deity which is not a term that Christ or the Apostles would have used. The Messiachim (a name used by Jews to collectively refer to the people who believe that Christ is Messiah) would have used the name YHVH (transliteration) instead of God and possibly Yahweh for the Tetragrammaton YHVH. Christ's name was Yahshua (or Yeshua), not Jesus. Jesus is an English translation of a Greek goddess of healing, Iesos/Iaso (transliteration). Some Jewish Messiachim historians believe that it is also probably linked to the origins of Zeus (transliteration), a Greek God. (Koster, 1986 and Wiseman, 1990). It is also believed that the name Jehovah was given prominence by the Vatican. It emerged by inserting the vowel points of Adonai into the sacred Tetra gram YHVH and symbolized the ecumenicalism of that period. (Wiseman, 1990). Therefore, YHVH-ology would more accurately describe the specialty study of the God of the Jews and the early church since they were Jews who believed that Yeshua was the Christ. The term "theology" would more accurately apply to the study of the Greek gods (and perhaps the gods of other non-Jewish and non-"Christian" religions) and not the YHVH of the Jews and of the Messiachim.
"Thou shalt call his Name Yeshua BECAUSE He shall save his people from their sins."
Matthew 1:21 (From the Holy Name Bible--Hebrew N.T.)
Therefore, these books use YHVH and Yeshua throughout referring to the English translated words "God" and "Jesus" respectively.

The Sincere Milk of the Word - Dr. Dan Briggs, Author; Apostle Dr. U. Udom - GBIS, Resource Person
PREFACE
While the interest in Christianity is on the rise on many fronts, there has been a declining interest in the things of God (and religion) in many industrialized nations for sometime and for reasons not always known to contemporary spiritual leaders. Historical religious appeal has been partly directed by the excitation of instinctive fear of the wrath of a tyrant (God) unhappy with the populations of empires of the ancient world and of today, and in particular the excitation of fear of this all powerful tyrant behind the unknown forces of nature. Not only is this appeal to the ready instincts of brute fear lost most of its force worldwide, it also lacks the ability to elicit any directness of response. Why? Because modern science and modern conditions of life have taught society to meet occasions of apprehension by critical scientific analysis of the causes and conditions of said apprehension. Additionally, the fall of the "Christian Political Powers" of the dark ages, who through political and ecclesiastical power controlled subjects for centuries by keeping them in ignorance, has also facilitated critical analysis. Thus every presentation of God under the aspects of POWER, CONTROL and/or JUDGMENT awakens within the listener of both an industrialized and many non-industrialized nations every modern instinct of critical reaction. In other words, it would not be unreasonable to say that old phraseology may be at variance with the psychology of the modern civilizations.
This pervasive fact, however, need not be looked at as all negative. This can be an OPPORTUNITY for both personal development (via the Biblical principle of "iron sharpeneth iron") and demonstration of true Christian character. Let spiritual leaders everywhere, rise to the occasion and become more focused on the purposive ness of "pure religion undefiled before God." Adjust the adjustable, abandon the abandon able, and cleave to the pure unadulterated truths and axioms that make pure religion what it is or ought to be. Let everything that can be shaken be shaken.
For example, a preacher can adjust his rhetoric when preaching to the lost by saying, `God is not interested in getting even with you, he's interested in forgiving you!' This statement does not cause one to abandon sacred truths. True, judgment day will come, which can be taught to the believer, however, the dispensation of GRACE, after all, is still valid for today. It is just as much a fundamental truth as judgment is.
Is this a call to compromise? Or to encourage spiritual leaders to abandon the fundamental beliefs and doctrines they teach? To the contrary. However, certain clichés, models, phraseologies, and paradigms may need adjusting so that "when in Rome", the Romans will listen to the message, understand the message AND be intrigued by the message; when with the barbarians, speak their language, too, reach them; all without losing the fundamental contemplation of moral and aesthetic values, i.e., the true beauty of holiness.
Know your audience by knowing the beliefs on which they stand; by understanding the very fibers of the fabric of their thinking. Knowing the motives of their behavior is vital to successful delivery and reception. Then, the "preacher" must live and be different from the general populace, being sure that his/her message and behavior are synchronized, i.e., practice what you preach!
In Christ's time the public was as astonished by his teachings as his miracles because, for one, he was an opponent of the organized religion of the day that placed religious/political oppression on the people and he did so without discarding the ancient morals. Secondly, he spoke with "authority"--an expert in the subject matter and presented legitimate citations to endorse his teachings. Thirdly, he practiced what he preached. Apostle Paul, who followed closely on the heals of Christ, was also a dynamic missionary because he too practiced these principles.
If a spiritual leader is unaware of these fundamental dynamics, there will be no adjustment when one is needed. If, however, he/she is aware but is unequipped the results are equal to the one oblivious to the problem, except that, awareness without the training and "tools of the trade" may evoke frustration. Is ignorance bliss? Perhaps for some, but not to the conscientious and self-respecting individual. The pursuit of truth demands a forward motion to unravel every tangled thought and uncover every knowable cause and effect.
This work attempts to unravel tangled thoughts and uncover causes and effects surrounding the fundamental teachings of Judeo-Christianity. Although some may take offense to the selected word usage of "Judeo", honest and thorough research reveals that Judeo nomenclature is very appropriate. Christ was from the tribe of Judah (true Jewery, whereas the other tribes are better known as Israelites or the "Lost House of Israel") and was therefore a Jew. Thus Christianity is of Jewish origin and is correctly described as Judeo-Christianity.
DISCLOSURE
Many early translated and "transcribed" Judeo-Christian writings can be found in the canonized Bible (Holy Writ). Old Testament writings were much slower in their development than the New Testament writings, as the history of the J-Document and in the P-Document reveal (Whitehead, 1967). Therefore, because Christianity is a religion of the Jews, it is appropriate to utilize Holy Writ as the ultimate resource from which to develop the Christian framework, particularly the entire canonized Old Testament. Christ and the Apostles quoted from its pages because it holds the writings and traditions of embraced Judaic thought, and more importantly it contains the essence and riches of the very "words of YHVH".
Eschatological Epistemology - Dr. Dan Briggs, UCMA, Author; Pastor Dr. D. D. Hezekiah, GBIS - Resource Person
PREFACE
The time of the end is here, within the last 45 years starting from 1981 A.D., as dated by the Book of Daniel. John gave even more end time details than Daniel did and now it is time for a greater unveiling of YHVH’s mysteries.
“But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.”
Daniel 12:4
Pray that YHVH will give you wisdom as you read this book and come to know some of the mysteries of YHVH.
“Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his: 21 And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding: 22 He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him. 23 I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee: for thou hast now made known unto us the king's matter.”
Daniel 2:21

The term "theology" would more accurately apply to the study of the Greek gods (and perhaps the gods of other non-Jewish and non-"Christian" religions) and not the YHVH of the Jews and of the Messiachim.
"Thou shalt call his Name Yeshua BECAUSE He shall save his people from their sins."
Matthew 1:21 (From the Holy Name Bible--Hebrew N.T.)
Therefore, these books use YHVH and Yeshua throughout referring to the English translated words "God" and "Jesus" respectively.

The Mystery of Christ and the Church, Dr. Dan Briggs, UCMA, Author; - Prophet Dr. Ezekiel Edumoh - President, GBIS/Resource Person
A PARADOX
In an era when people are well beyond being tired of lies and hypocrisy from world and governmental leaders, they are then faced with the added pain and frustration that their church leaders are failing to tell them the truth as well. Most clergy still refuse to tell the whole truth when they could (because they know it) and should (even if they do not know, but should know it). Not only is this failure a disservice to the Body of Christ but truly an abomination in the sight of YHVH.
Most clerics publicly claim they believe the Bible to be YHVH’s Word, which holds the truths of salvation, the definition of sin and a reasonable list of what acts are considered sinful, among many other life-giving words. Sadly, in the next moment most clerics reduce YHVH’s word into two categories, 1) Orthodoxy (traditional—salvific) doctrines and 2) Heterodoxy (nontraditional—non-salvific) doctrines. The question that must be asked, then, is this. Since when are mortal men given the authority to take any of YHVH’s words and reduce them to less than salvific? Whenever YHVH took the time to speak and interact with humankind, it was definitely salvific in nature. All (every word) of YHVH’s word is LIFE (Deuteronomy 8:3; Matthew 4:4; Luke 4:4) and without it, death is at the door.
This poses the next question. If clerics do or should know the truth, then why do they not share it with the Body of Christ? The answers come down to the same age-old problems that all humans face at varying degrees.
1. Said cleric is truly ignorant (although unlikely), yet pretends to know.
2. Said cleric knows the truth but either ignores it or deceives himself/herself into believing it is not important.
3. Said cleric knows the truth and knows its importance but refuses to disclose since he/she believes it may threaten his/her popularity and diminish his/her “cash flow” (security, etc.). Yes that is correct, the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life at work even among the clergy.
This book will make every effort to speak the whole truth regarding this subject matter, whether popular or not. The truth is the truth and it is not open to private interpretation (2 Peter 1:20-21), whereas, more often than not, most clerics present their own (or that of others) private interpretations on nearly all subjects they present to the Body of Christ.

FOREWORD
Message From The President
Welcome to INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR PROPHETIC LEADERSHIP & EVANGELISM (IIPLE)!
When you signed up for IIPLE training, you took an important spiritual step. You did not enroll in a program of a denomination or organization. You enrolled in a “school of the spirit.” It is the training of your spirit by the Holy Spirit—and that schooling never ends.
The purpose of IIPLE training is not just to provide a mountain top spiritual experience and then send you back into the valley of life to lose it. The true test of your training will be the ability to take what you learn in IIPLE back into the valley of everyday life and ministry and use it. The success of your experience also rests in your willingness to pass on to others what you learn.
And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. (II Timothy 2:2)
Where this spiritual call to the demonstration of the power of God and the principles of spiritual harvest will take you, only God knows, but you can be assured that you do not labor alone. You have joined a great army of laborers, dating back to the disciples of Jesus, who have heard the call and responded. You are part of a growing network of international prophets and harvesters!
Never settle for less than the final objective. Keep sowing and reaping, in seed time and harvest time, until every people group, every tribe, and every nation is reached with the Gospel.
Prophet Ezekiel J. U. Edumoh
President
International Institute for Prophetic Leadership & Evangelism
CHAPTER ONE
Introduction to the Institute
Introduction
God bless you for responding to His call. What a tremendous privilege and responsibility you have, a high calling--training for the work of the ministry. You are helping fulfill your call by becoming equipped for present and future ministries.
In this first chapter we want to provide an overview of orientation information. Your Academic Dean may be the one to personally acquaint you with this information or he may request that you attend an orientation.
The Student Handbook is designed to help familiarize the student with Bible school life. It will tell the student what he can expect of the Institute and what the Institute expects of him as he seeks to prepare himself for Christian ministry.
General student conduct is governed by the ideals and standards of the school as stated in the Student Handbook. It serves as a guide to develop lifestyles, ideals, and standards consistent with the high calling of the ministry. Each student should seek to develop these ideals and standards of conduct while he is enrolled in Institute, whether he is on the campus or away.
History, Purpose, and Development of the School
In this section we include a brief history of the founding and development of the school. We suggest that you become acquainted with this to get a sense of how the school came into being, the vision of its founders, and how the school is developing.
IIPLE takes its root from the calling and the vision of the Lord to the Founding President, Prophet Ezekiel Edumoh. In March of 2005, the President was fully convinced that God was calling him into the office of the Prophet through some of the ways God was leading his life. The Lord opened his eyes to see that the name “EZEKIEL” that was given to his father before he was born was not a coincidence, but a a planned purpose according to his calling. He was convinced to reverse to the name Ezekiel from Etim. In April, the Lord directed him to declare a 20 day fasting for the church, Grace Missionary Chapel International where he is the Senior Pastor. During the period of the fast, the Lord spoke to him that he should start the Institute for training Prophets in prophetic leadership and Evangelism. The Lord gave him access to books by world renowned Prophets such as Dr. Bill Hamon and Jim W. Goll.
When the church completed the 20 day fasting and prayer, the Lord told him to continue his journey until the 40th day. During this period the Lord led him to train with a global front of great network of Apostles and Prophets worldwide. He studied at these networks for the development of his own personal prophetic life and also of the students that will join IIPLE. The following bodies have been instrumental to the training:
1. Harvestime International Network, Colorado Springs, Colorado U.S.A.
2. Christian International, Founded by Dr. Bill Hamon, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, U.S.A.
3. The Prophetic Movement of the Global Ministry Resource Network by Apostle Les D. Crause, U.S.A.
4. IIPLE of GBIS is affiliated to the Victory International Institutes of Tulsa, Oklahoma, U.S.A.
5. Fresh Fire Ministries, U.S.A by Todd Bentley
It must be noted that IIPLE has hundreds of materials and articles from some of these International Prophetic ministries and are at the disposal of the students of IIPLE.
It is not the desire of the IIPLE to create a denominational structure but rather a network working between denominations, churches, organizations, and nations to raise up laborers for worldwide spiritual harvest. It is to this purpose that IIPLE is dedicated, to recruit, train, motivate, and mobilize a network of international harvesters.
IIPLE was conceived by the Holy Spirit in answer to a cry from the harvest fields of the world for materials geared for training the average layman. The Institute is birthing a vision designed to move laymen from vision to reality. The curriculum takes students beyond teaching to training where participation is required. The participation to which students are challenged is that of spiritual preparation and reproduction. Jesus final command was to reproduce spiritually (Matthew 23:19-20).
IIPLE is not as inclusive as a traditional Bible Institute because it eliminates materials not directly related to spiritual growth and productivity. We are not in competition with the traditional Bible Institute structure but our training is for men and women who are ready to develop their prophetic and evangelistic ministry but do not have opportunities, educationally and/or financially, for such training. Our Grace Bible Institute & Seminary, GBIS still gives traditional Bible College and Seminary education for those who are interested.
IIPLE equips students with creative Bible study skills to enable continued study of Scriptures following basic course training. But the primary focus of Institute training is teaching what Jesus taught to move men from observation to demonstration of the power of God.
Mission Statement of the School
The vision and purpose of IIPLE is to equip the saints for ministry through timely, cost effective training. We desire to raise up a mighty army of men and women who are prepared to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through vision and spiritual preparation of the heart, and training in the Word of God, its principles and methods.
The Overall Picture of the School
Church-Based Ministry Training
This church-based institute with spirit-filled staff offers aggressive ministry training for thorough equipping of Christian leadership. We emphasize balanced doctrine, servanthood, leadership, character development and developing a biblical global perspective.
IIPLE is a place to train men and women called to full-time ministry and those interested in becoming better equipped to serve their local church.
We offer academic excellence and methods that will train you to maximize your leadership skills and attitude to reach your God-given potential.
Administration
The Administration of IIPLE will have an orientation meeting for all new students. Your orientation will provide needed and beneficial information about many of the procedures, services and opportunities in your Bible Institute.
Faculty and Staff
Since our program is very compact and practical, we have faculty and staff dedicated to the IIPLE programs only. The faculty are also Pastors, but are not expected to be teaching in any other Bible College in order to give them time to attend to all our curricular and extra curricular activities. Our faculty are not just Lecturers, but Teachers. They go along participating in the teaching-learning process.
Academic Practices and Procedures
Courses arer scheduled by the President through the designated staff. All courses on schedule must be taken by all students at the appointed times.
You will have questions arise during the term. Your school Student Handbook is a good resource for many questions you may have. If after referring to it you do not find the answer to your question, do not hesitate to approach your Faculty.
Relationships with Church and Community
Those who are called by the Lord to ministry are equally called to be a reflection of His character in both word and deed. A number of requirements and expectations are placed upon Bible school students by both the church and the community. The successful student should be aware of and observe these with diligence. You will want to be an example in both church attendance and in the paying of your tithes. Guard your reputation in the community by maintaining your integrity in financial and other community matters.
Accountability
We are a non-denominational, Bible-based, spirit-filled Institute. Our school is accountable to a God and a Board of Directors.
School Location and Contact Information
IIPLE is located at 32 Barracks Road, Calabar, CRS, Nigeria. You can call the President at 234-8033416792 (If you are calling from overseas) or 08033416792 if you are calling locally.
CHAPTER TWO
Spiritual Life
Spiritual Standards
As a Christian Institute, IIPLE is interested in and committed to the spiritual development of its students. Although the Institute cannot legislate spiritual growth in its students, it can and does promote means to develop spiritual growth. We believe the student needs to be committed to a lifestyle that includes a daily time of Bible reading, reflection, and prayer and a regular life of fasting.
Along with campus programming, students are encouraged to make personal choices that will reflect their desire for an intimate relationship with the Lord Jesus. Students are asked to covenant to pray and read the Word of God daily so as to assure growth toward Christian maturity.
Devotional life is a vital part of spiritual development, relating closely to every aspect of their preparation for ministry. The following are means the Institute provides and/or encourages to promote and develop spiritual life.
Chapel
In the Institute setting, chapel is for the purpose of spiritual enrichment and growth. In contrast with the classroom, it is not a structured learning situation. Chapel provides an opportunity for development in spiritual gifts and worship.
Attendance at scheduled chapel services is required of all students. Studying and reading for classes during chapel is not acceptable.
Chapel is not designed to focus on the structured church program, but rather on cultivating a vital personal relationship with God and the corporate relationship of the body.
Personal Devotions
Every student is urged to observe a time of daily prayer and Scripture reading. Meetings, study, or any other activity should not be allowed to take the time allotted for communion with God.
Missions Emphasis Week
Each semester missions is given special emphasis during one designated chapel service. Students are encouraged to give of their time in intercessory prayer for world missions, home missions, missionaries, and the general work of missions. Special attention is focused on the various regions of the world through prayer bands, special speakers, etc. Offerings will be received for support of selected missionary projects.
Fasting
Because of the nature of the prophetic ministry, IIPLE has decided to include long fasting as one of its major forum for spiritual development of the men and women being trained. Therefore there shall be a period of 10 days of fasting two times in the semester of five months. The fasting shall be taken outside the main campus to any location approved by the authority outside Calabar or within. Students are expected to camp during the fasting. Lectures will continue and be combined at whatever location designated for such.
Counseling
Faculty members are available to students who desire special prayer and counsel. In some cases, a staff or faculty member may recommend other spiritual leaders to assist the student by providing further counseling.
CHAPTER THREE
Social Guidelines
Appearance/Dress Standard
The dress standard at IIPLE is designed to be a tool to help students prepare to relate to professional life and leisure time in a proper way. We expect all students to be modest, clean, neat and dressed in good taste, avoiding bizarre or extreme styles. The Bible emphasizes the importance of modesty, simplicity and neatness in respect to dress and personal appearance.
The Institute reserves the right to declare any questionable attire unsuitable for any occasion.
Standard of Conduct
The Scriptures establish the basic principles which should guide the development of Christian character and govern all Christian behavior. Practices which are known to be morally wrong by biblical teaching are not acceptable for members of the Institute community.
While Scripture does not provide specific teaching regarding all social practices, it does advocate self-restraint in that which is harmful or is offensive to others. All questionable activities that would be detrimental to Christian character and testimony are disapproved.
Within the traditions of its Christ-centered mission, IIPLE expects its students to exemplify a high standard of behavior and personal values. These expectations include the following:
1. Respect for the rights and human dignity of others, especially in the conduct of
relationships;
2. Respect for the rights and needs of the Institute community to develop and maintain an atmosphere conducive to academic study and personal life;
3. Respect for the Institute's academic traditions of honesty and integrity;
4. Respect for the different backgrounds, personalities, beliefs, and spiritual traditions of students, faculty, and staff who make up the Institute community;
5. A willingness to assist others in need of support, guidance, or friendship;
6. Respect for federal, state, and local laws and ordinances;

Disciplinary Action
The first infraction will result in a verbal warning. The second offense will be in writing. A Disciplinary Report form will be completed by the faculty member who becomes aware of the alleged violation. The faculty member retains the right to deal directly with cases of prohibited conduct. Students must be notified of the evidence of a violation and must have an opportunity to respond. In cases where both faculty member and student agree that the alleged violation did occur, and if the student agrees to the proposed sanction for the incident, then the faculty member and student are requested to sign a Disciplinary Report form, which briefly details the violation and sanction. The form is filed in the school office.
If the faculty member and student do not agree about the facts of the alleged violation or the proposed sanction, then a meeting may be requested with the Director. Both faculty member and student will be required to attend. Evidence of the alleged violation will be presented and the student will have the opportunity to respond to the evidence. It is the responsibility of the Director to determine whether or not there has been a violation and what, if any, sanctions should be imposed.
If the infraction is of such serious nature, the Director may immediately suspend or terminate a student.
Suspension
A student may be suspended for any specified length of time as determined by the Director. All students re-admitted after suspension for disciplinary reasons are placed on disciplinary probation for the remainder of the semester if their suspension was for less than one semester, and for the entire first semester following their return.
The Institute reserves the right to require the withdrawal of students because of low standards of scholarship, poor physical or mental heath, or attitudes and standards of behavior which conflict with the Institute.
A student who does not fit in with the aims and ideals of the Institute may be asked to withdraw for the general welfare of the Institute and the student, even though there may be no specific breach of conduct.
Termination
Termination is a permanent dismissal from Institute and will apply in cases where the Director deems there is evidence that conduct, achievement, or other factors warrant such action.

Class Attendance
Students are expected to attend all classes. That is, it is mandatory, for any absence may cause a student to be dropped until after two years.
Unexcused absence from two (2) classes will result in a full grade drop (i.e. A- reduced to B+). No student shall be allowed to pass a course if the total of all absences, excused and unexcused, is equal to or exceeds 120 minutes of classroom instruction per credit unit offered. Students leaving class early without permission of the instructor will be counted absent.
Fifteen minutes late to class constitutes a tardy. Three (3) tardies constitute an absence.
An absence for any reason except for unavoidable emergency or illness will not be an excused absence.
The instructor is responsible to warn the individual student and notify the Academic Dean before the limit of absences is reached.
Assignments and Examinations
Students are encouraged to prepare a study schedule at the beginning of each semester and adhere to it carefully so that sufficient time is allotted for study.
All assigned work (term papers, book reports, etc.) will be due on date designated by the instructor. Failure to submit work when due may result in a grade reduction. The student is responsible for all make-up work when absent from class, and the due date set by the instructor remains mandatory.
Assignments and examinations must be completed on schedule, as outlined by the instructor. Late tests will be administered only for excused absences. Final examinations are to be taken at the time scheduled. Ordinarily, no early exams are given. All students are required to take scheduled final examinations.
Though IIPLE does not lay premium on examinations, we still will have test our students so as to ascertain if they have mastered the course content.
Academic Disputes
If a student disagrees with the grade he receives, he may make an appointment with the Director of Studies for consideration of the dispute. After the Director reviews the issues and responds, His decision is final.
Withdrawal from Institute
Students withdrawing from Institute before the end of the semester for any reason must get a Withdrawal From Institute form from the school office and obtain all signatures indicated. Reason or reasons for withdrawal must be made plain.
Change of Address Procedures

Media Use
Audio or video recording of any class without prior permission is strictly prohibited.
A student may use a laptop computer in class to take notes.
Academic Honesty
As a community committed to Christian thought and behavior, the Institute fosters honesty and integrity and is committed to the pursuit of academic excellence, for students and faculty alike.
Learning is an opportunity and a privilege that demands responsibility and an uncompromising level of honor, integrity and trust. The expectation at IIPLE is that students and faculty will take advantage of the opportunity for intellectual development, and that they will also conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the standards of academic honesty. When these standards are violated or compromised, individuals and the entire Institute community suffer.
Violations of Academic Honesty
Violations of academic honesty include, but are not limited to:
1. Use of illicit aids during an examination.
2. Giving or receiving illicit aid on an examination.
3. Copying from another student's examination, term paper, homework or lab report.
4. Unauthorized access to computer accounts of others.
5. Plagiarism (submitting the exact words, data or ideas of another without
Properly acknowledging the source).
6. Theft of examination material.
7. Falsifying works or records.
The Director of Studies is to review and respond to alleged violations of academic honesty. Provisions of the academic honesty system are as follows:
1. Instructors retain the right to deal directly with cases of academic
dishonesty that may occur in their classes. Students must be notified of the
evidence of a violation and must have an opportunity to respond. In cases
where both instructor and student agree that the alleged violation did
occur, and if the student agrees to the instructor's proposed sanction for
the incident, then the instructor and student are requested to sign an
Academic Dishonesty Report form, which briefly details the violation and
sanction. The form is filed in the Admissions and Records Office.
2. When the instructor and student do not agree about the facts of the
alleged violation or the proposed sanction, then a meeting may be
requested with the Director of studies. Both instructor and student will be
required to attend. Evidence of the alleged violation will be presented and
the student will have the opportunity to respond to the evidence. It is the
responsibility of the Director of Studies to determine whether or not there
has been a violation and what, if any, sanctions should be imposed.
IIPLE recognizes the necessity of students to take
responsibility for their ethical behavior and to maintain academic honesty in their own work. Additionally we expect all students to promote ethical behavior throughout the Institute community by taking responsible action when there is a reason to suspect dishonesty.
We do not seek to create a community of informers. Rather, we depend upon a person's good will to care enough for a fellow student to warn the individual to abandon dishonesty for his or her own sake and that of the community. Thus, we ask all students and faculty to share the responsibility of maintaining an honest environment.
Responsible Actions By Student:
Each student, as an integral member of the academic community, is expected to make a commitment not to act dishonestly and not to tolerate dishonesty on the part of other students. As a community, the students are responsible for maintaining an ethical environment. A student who is aware of a possible violation of the procedures and policies should report the violation to the Director of Studies.
Faculty Responsibilities:
At the beginning of each course, every faculty member is expected to clearly define expectations and procedures for all academic work in the course. This includes procedures for class assignments, citations in written work, assistance on homework, etc. Preferably, this information should also be provided in writing to students. Each faculty member is expected to foster an environment of mutual trust and respect in and out of the classroom, including evaluation of the students in a fair and reasonable manner.
Responsible Actions By Faculty:
Each faculty member is expected not to tolerate academic dishonesty. A faculty member who becomes aware of a possible academic honesty violation may discuss it with the student(s) involved if it seems that such a discussion might help to evaluate the situation. If this discussion results in the decision that the initial suspicion was justified, then the faculty member is expected to take appropriate action.
CHAPTER FIVE

Educational Program
Basic Program
The complete IIPLE program is 60 units. Each course is 3 units. Those who complete the entire program will receive an Associate of Biblical Ministries.
Ordination
All graduates of IIPLE are automatically qualified for ordination into the Prophetic Ministry. But the ordination will be done in consultation with the sponsoring ministry.
Missions Program
An exciting thrust of IIPLE is the emphasis on world evangelization. We believe the Great Commission still applies and is a command that is not optional.
Opportunities for short-term missions involvement are offered, giving students choices between various kinds of ministry including child evangelism, street witnessing, crusades, music, and drama.
Each student must participate in an outreach before graduation.
Intern Program
IIPLE shares in the development of competent ministers by expecting of its Ministerial Interns a high degree of achievement.
Servanthood, academic excellence and training for the equipping of future leadership is the heart of our Ministerial Internship Program. You will be challenged to reach your full potential in Christ.

IIPLE STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR PROPHETIC LEADERSHIP & EVANGELISM (IIPLE)
OUR CALL: Ezekiel 37:1-14
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:
It was upon the spiritual harvest fields of the world that Jesus Christ constantly focused the attention of His disciples through PROPHETIC LEADERSHIP and PROPHETIC EVANGELISM.
Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? Behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. (John 4:35) (This is a prophetic statement for a prophetic action)
The challenge given by our Lord is for laborers, men and women who understand the prophetic dynamics about the spiritual harvest fields of the world and to stand up and prophecy them into the Kingdom of God. It is to this purpose that International Institute for Prophetic Leadership & Evangelism is dedicated, to recruit, train, motivate, and mobilize a network of international harvesters capable of Prophetic:
1. Intercession for international spiritual harvest:
...The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that He will send forth laborers into His harvest.
(Matthew 9:37-38)
2. Articulation of the principles of spiritual harvest:
And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.
(II Timothy 2:2)
3. Demonstration of the principles of spiritual harvest:
And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. (I Corinthians 2:4-5)
4. Communication of the urgency of the mandate for worldwide spiritual harvest:
The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved. (Jeremiah 8:20)
5. Mobilization of members of the Body of Christ to reap their appointed fields in worldwide, end time harvest:
...He reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest. (Jeremiah 5:24)
THE INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR PROPHETIC LEADERSHIP AND EVANGELISM THEREFORE SHALL RAISE UP PROPHETIC LEADERS AND EMBARK ON PROPHETIC EVANGELISTIC ACTION THAT SHALL COMPLETE THE GREAT COMMISSION BEFORE CHRIST COMES AGAIN.

INTRODUCTION TO PROPHETIC MINISTRY
INTRODUCTION TO THE PROPHETIC MINISTRY
WHAT IS PROPHECY?
In simple terms, prophecy is the communicating of the mind of God concerning a person, a group of persons or a nation. The communication is prompted by the Holy Spirit and it may be “Predictive”. “Directive” or “Corrective”. Acts 21:10-11; 11:27,28; 13:1-3; 15:22-23,27,32. It is a supernatural ability upon a person to speak the mind of God towards a person or a group of persons concerning any and every area of human life and relationship.
THE PROPHETIC MINISTRY
The ministry of the prophet is vast and quite extensive and involves being "moved by the Holy Spirit" (2 Peter 1: 21) in prophetic utterance, which can be as earlier indicated: Predictive (Acts 21: 10-11; 11: 27-28), Directive (Acts 13: 1-3), or Corrective (Acts 15: 22-23,27,32).
The prophetic ministry is one of the nearest and dearest ministries to the heart of God. The prophetic ministry and the voice of the prophet were established as God’s primary method of communicating with His mankind on planet earth.
However, we need to understand that the Office of the Prophet is certainly not limited to just giving a "word of prophecy" as some may believe. Personal prophesying is but a "small and limited" scope of what that office entails.
We need to look at some definitions concerning the prophetic from a wider angle to help give us a broad view of the field.
It should be noted that whether truth is preached, and a burden is prayed, a message can not be said to be prophetic if it has not brought the generation to the place of knowing the mind of God for that time. It has to do with the supernatural ability to have a revelatory knowledge of the heart of God for a particular time on a particular issue.
There are at least five dimensions of the Prophetic: A lot of confusion occur in the Nigerian church concerning who a prophet is. This study will give us an understanding of the different designations in the prophetic ministry. .

THE FIVE-FOLD MINISTRY
FIVE - FOLD MINISTRY
As the church of Jesus Christ continues the upward climb from the abyss of the "Dark Ages" to its place of pre-determined glory, of ruling among the nations, we are experiencing a tremendous unfolding of scriptures, as the Holy Spirit releases revelation after revelation. One such scripture of major importance is Ephesians: 4: 11-13
While we have come to accept the ministry gifts of Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers, it has not been quite so, with that of the Prophet and Apostle. To this end God is raising up prophets as well as end-time apostles to bring His people into the "fullness" of their inheritance in Christ. Many apostles and prophets have been called to begin "networks and schools" for the purpose of raising up many great prophetic and apostolic ministers. The primary goal of these networks and schools is to lead those who are called to the five-fold ministry into the "fullness" of their calling in Christ, so that they may, in turn, lead all those that God has called them to minister to, into the fullness of their inheritance in Christ - thus producing a mighty people who can establish the kingdom of God in the earth.
We believe that God requires accuracy in all that He calls us to do, and therefore we must not proceed with any preconceived notions concerning that which God will do in this last hour. We believe that the revelation God is giving to us, through His holy apostles and prophets in this final hour are extremely vital to all those whose hearts are wholly given and whose desire is to accomplish the will of God for their lives. When each of us begins to walk with the Lord, He begins the process of "renewing our minds" in order that we might "begin" to think as He thinks and see as He sees. We perceive that at this very time God is causing a great transition to take place in the hearts of His people; and He is revealing to them a "leadership" that is trustworthy in the handling of His Word and in the building up of His church in the earth. There have been many in the past that have abused their position of authority in the church and because of this many, many children of God have become disillusioned by those in authority.
We need to fully understand that when anybody who has been called to be an apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor or teacher, declares a "revelation truth", it is simply the outpouring of God's Spirit of wisdom and revelation. Please understand, that the word or the action is not first and foremost a by-product of the vessel (apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor or teacher) being used but, rather the vessel (apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor or teacher) is simply the container or conduit for the teaching of the Holy Spirit and the necessary administration of God's truth. For too long we, as the children of God, have (to varying degrees) kept our eyes on "flesh and blood" instead of Jesus. Because of this, at times we have elevated certain of the leaders (apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors or teachers) that God raised up, thereby allowing ourselves to be held captive by a "spirit of idolatry". This undoubtedly prevents one from receiving the fullness of God's blessing regardless of the office of the vessel God has sent. However, in this season God is raising up men and women who are driven (at any personal cost) by this one burning desire: to lead all those who cross their path into the fullness of their inheritance in Christ and enable them to enter into the fullness of the ministry that God has called them to! Rather than being an entity unto itself, the Five-Fold ministry are simply "forerunners" or "pioneers" in the carrying out of God's "Kingdom-Purpose" in the earth.
We declare to you, that those of us who are called to the five-fold ministry for the precious work that the Lord is doing in these last days will only survive as we abide in perfect obedience - both individually and corporately. There must be a return to "Purity and Holiness". It is only in this way that the Church can be strong both foundationally and structurally. This is also the only way to ensure that Satan and his "Pharisee spirits" are both exposed and "driven out" from the midst of God's people throughout the earth! There has been a change in the spiritual climate and now God has ordained the full release of His holy apostles and prophets into the church and the earth. God has surely begun a most glorious work and we must position ourselves so that there can be a coming together of the apostles and prophets. As we do this, we will be assisting in establishment of the five-fold ministry to operate at it's fullest level. Please understand that when this happens "all hell will break loose," as this is the thing the devil fears most. For he knows that once the five-fold ministry is fully functional and the saints are equipped to do the work of the ministry, his kingdom will be destroyed. Hence the reason there is such opposition for the full restoration of apostles and prophets.
There has never been a move of God that has taken place without problems, but most of the problems are of an internal nature surrounding those in leadership. But we declare to you by the Spirit of the living God, that we will see such a coming together of His body in this hour, such as we have not seen before. The word that Jesus spoke "I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it" is still in effect up to this very day. We say to you that His glory shall literally fill the earth as the waters of the sea. In order to accomplish this, as we said before, Christ has distributed ministry gifts which enable the Church to function as His Body. But the five ministry gifts of Ephesians 4: 11 have a specific purpose:
Verse 11 - The Ministries - these five ministry gifts are not merely "titles" as many people are fighting for, but ministry functions. There is nothing elevated or exalted about these gifts (1 Corinthians 4: 9-13). They simply have a special purpose, which is clearly defined in the following verse.
Verse 12 - The Purpose "...to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up." These five leadership gifts were not simply given to do the work of the ministry, but to enable God's people to do the work of the ministry. This is extremely important as we draw closer to the return of Jesus for His Bride the Church!
Verse 13 - Gives us the operational time-frame "...until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ." The five-fold ministry did not pass away at the death of the early apostles and prophets at the close of the first century, but was given until the maturing of the Body in unity, knowledge and expression of Christ's fullness.
The five-fold ministry gifts are examples of how "grace has been given as Christ apportioned it" (Ephesians 4: 7). All ministry is simply the ministry of Christ expressed through the believer by the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Regarding the "Five-fold" ministry gifts; it is as if the Lord Jesus Christ when He was about to leave planet earth did similar to what Elijah did to Elisha and released his mantle to him. The only major difference with Jesus is that He tore His Mantle into five pieces and released them back into the earth - Namely Apostolic, Prophetic, Evangelistic, Pastoral and Teaching! Please understand that:
Christ is our Apostle (Hebrews 3: 1)
Christ is our Prophet (Luke 24: 19)
Christ is our Evangelist (Matthew 9: 35)
Christ is our Pastor/Shepherd (1 Peter 5: 2-4)
Christ is our Teacher (John 3: 2)
Every ministry ( including that of the five-fold) is an extension of the ministry of Christ Himself, who is the chief cornerstone of the Foundations "...God's household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone" Ephesians 2: 19-20. The foundation of the Church is the apostle and the prophet (note Ephesians 3: 4-5). Ephesians 4: 12-13 indicates that these two ministries still continue in that foundational role, so it is vital for us to understand how each of these ministries work.
The Apostle
An apostle is "one chosen and sent with a special commission." The word apostle comes from the Greek word apostolos which is translated "sent one" and carries the understanding that the one being sent has the full power and authority of the one sending him. They are referred to as "wise master builders" or "spiritual architects" (1 Corinthians 3: 10). The 12 apostles chosen by Jesus were witnesses of the resurrection (Acts 1: 15; 4: 33); but there were many other true apostles (Acts 14: 3-4; Romans 16: 7; 1 Corinthians 15: 5-7; Galatians 1: 1,19), as well as false ones (2 Corinthians 11:13-5; Revelation 2: 2).
The ministry of an apostle includes:
pioneering new churches (1 Corinthians 9: 2; 1Corinthians 3: 6)
grounds the Church in truth (Colossians 1: 25)
preserves unity in the Body (1 Corinthians 3: 3-5)
lays foundations in the Church (1 Corinthians 3:10)
sets things in order (Titus 1: 5)
imparts spiritual gifts (Romans 1: 11)
fathers new ministries (2 Timothy 1: 6; 1 Corinthians 4: 15)
a breakthrough-type ministry of miracles, signs and wonders (2 Corinthians 12: 12; Acts 2: 43; Acts 5: 12)
a ministry of warfare (2 Corinthians 10: 4-5)
prayer and the ministry of the Word (Acts 6: 4)
The Prophet
The ministry of the prophet is vast and quite extensive and involves being "moved by the Holy Spirit" (2 Peter 1: 21) in prophetic utterance, which can be: Predictive (Acts 21: 10-11; 11: 27-28), Directive (Acts 13: 1-3), or Corrective (Acts 15: 22-23,27,32). However, we need to understand that the Office of the Prophet is certainly not limited to just giving a "word of prophecy" as some may believe. Personal prophesying is but a "small and limited" scope of what that office entails. There is also such a thing, as a false prophet (1 John 4: 1); therefore, God sets clear guidelines: Prophecies should be time-tested (Acts 11: 28). The words of a prophet are judged by church leadership (1Corinthians14: 29) Any prophecy should be confirmed independently (2 Corinthians 13: 1). Any prophecy should line up with Scripture, "the sure word of prophecy" (2 Peter 1: 19-21). The prophet operates best in teamwork with the apostle (e.g. Paul and Silas). There are at least five dimensions of the Prophetic:
1: The Office of the Prophet:
Ephesians 2: 30; 4: 11; 1 Corinthians 12: 28; Acts 13: 1
2: Prophetic Preaching:
1 Peter 4: 11
3: Prophetic Presbytery:
1 Timothy 4: 14; Hebrews 6: 1-2; Acts 13: 1-3 is used in: -
(a) Prophetic revelation and confirmation of those called into
leadership ministry in the Church
(b) Ordination to the five-fold ministry
(c) Confirmation and activation of membership ministries in the
Body of Christ
(d) Progress in Christian Maturity
4: The Spirit of Prophecy
This is an anointing arising from Christ within the believer, which takes place on occasions of special anointing: Revelation 19: 10
5: The Gift of Prophecy
1 Corinthians 12: 10; 14:1, 3, 4, 6, 22, 24, 31, 39; 1 Thessalonians 5: 20; Romans 12: 6; Joel 2: 28
The Evangelist
Evangelists extend the frontiers of God's Kingdom (see the ministry of Philip in Acts 6: 3-7; 8: 5-40; 21: 8). They are co-workers with and extensions of apostolic ministry (2 Timothy 4: 5; 1 Thessalonians 3: 2). They also equip the body of Christ with the Evangelistic spirit of outreach.
The Pastor
The Greek word for pastor is poimen which means "one who tends sheep or cares for flocks" (read 1 Peter 5: 1-4; John 21: 15 -17). But this word is used only in Ephesians 4: 11. Elsewhere in the New Testament, other words are used: "shepherd", "elder" and "overseer". This is significant, to indicate that a comparison of these ministries should be made. A pastor is not simply a leader presiding over a local church, but has a Body-wide expression of ministry. As one of the five-fold ministry, a pastor is, in present terminology, more accurately a "pastor of pastors" or a "pastor of elders" beyond the local body. A pastor's emphasis in ministry is in relationship networking.
The Ministry of an Elder An elder is not a particular type of ministry, but rather is a leader in the Body (1 Peter 5: 1; 2 John 1; 3 John 1). "To the elders among you...Be shepherds of God's flock that is under your care, serving as overseers..." 1 Peter 5: 2 (also Acts 20: 17, 28-31). The word "elder" - presbuteros - refers to any leadership ministry. An elder may be one of the five or an "overseer" - episkopos - over a local church. But whether a person is a pastor (one of the five-fold ministry) or an overseeing elder (in charge of a local body), both are called to be shepherds. Following the example of the Chief Shepherd (John 10: 1-16), a shepherd's ministry is to feed (verse 9); protect (verse 12), guide (verses 3-4) and love (verse 15) the sheep.
The Teacher
A teacher is not just someone who teaches (we are all encouraged to teach - Colossians 3: 16), but one who brings instruction to the Body at large (note the "watering" ministry of Apollos in Acts 18: 24-28; 1 Corinthians 3: 2-10). Only when the ministries of Ephesians 4: 11 begin functioning as God intended - both as individual ministries and as apostolic teams - will the purpose of their joint ministry be fulfilled: "...until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ" Ephesians 4: 13.
